Alan Dix is Professor in the Department of Computing, Lancaster University, UK, Director of vfridge limited and aQtive limited.
His interests include the use of formal methods in HCI, delays and temporal issues, architectures for mobile ans collaborative systems, the design of cyberspace and the the way information is transforming economics and society.


Janet Finlay is Reader at the School of Computing, Leeds Metropolitan University, UK.
Her interests include the application of machine learning and pattern recognition to HCI, design rationale, evaluation methods and interactive educational technology.

Gregory Abowd (pronounced AY-bowd) is Assistant Professor in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, USA.
His interests include the application of formal methods from Software Engineering to the design and analysis of interactive systems, ubiquitous computing, and future computing.



Russell Beale works as consultant for various hi-tech companies and is also a director of vfridge limited and aQtive limited and lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, UK.
His interests include neural networks, agent technology, data-mining and highly configurable user interfaces.
